The Grades 2-4 Chinese Immersion and Grades 2-8 Arabic Immersion students are in the portables. Please be assured that these facilities offer every convenience of heating, air conditioning, electricity and internet service. The portables meet all BCPS safety standards and are certified as safe “green” environments.

Our students’ safety and welfare are our first priority, and to ensure this, we will implement the following procedures for our students in the portable classrooms:

    • Teachers escort the students during ALL transitions
    • Teachers and students use the Main Office doors to enter and exit the Main Building; the St. Anthony’s door is only be used for the lunch drop off and pick up
    • Teachers take their classes on scheduled bathroom breaks; bathrooms have been identified that are reserved exclusively for our students in the portable classrooms
    • A Hallway Monitor will assist as needed
    • Entrance doors to the portables remain locked at all times; teachers have a key and the portables also use the same system as the doors to the Main Building, so that the Main Office can give someone access electronically
